Can I use SNMPv3 with noauth?

Votes:

0

The systems adminiastrators have decided they do not want to use authentication. The device, a Brocade SAN switch, requires SNMPv3 in order to set context to select the virtual fabric.

I can access the device using SNMPv2, but the interfaces all look to be "down" because I have not selected the correct virtual fabric.

In such an instance, just leave the password field empty. In such a case "SNMP_SEC_LEVEL_NOAUTH" is used. Thus, the encryption is deactivated entirely.
