Demo EXE - Returns number of files in folder (parameter).exe what parameters do i need to use?

Hi,

I am trying to use the 'Demo EXE - Returns number of files in folder (parameter).exe' exe to bring back the number of files in a folder, but i am unsure of what parameters to use ie to specify the folder path etc?

Could someone please help me out.

This depends on what type of file you are trying to query.

If you are trying to query a file that is on the network, you would either have to map the network drive to your probe device and create the sensor there or create the device where the folder in question is stored and then put in the file path.

Either way, that exe needs to point to a local path e.g.

%programfiles%\PRTG Network Monitor

or

C:\Program Files (x86)\PRTG Network Monitor
