For some reason a sub group is not showing up under the notification drop down menu. It's instead showing a group that doesn't even exist.

Dear Joe,

in PRTG, there are groups for user accounts and there are notifications. These are independent from each other.

  • User groups define access rights to the interface—you can create new user groups and define members there. To access the user groups, in PRTG web interface, select Setup | User Groups from the main menu.
  • Notifications define a notification to an email account, a mobile phone, etc. They can be triggered in a sensor's notification trigger settings. To change a notification (and to define a new one), in PRTG web interface, select Setup | Notifications from the main menu.

So, please create a new notification and select it in your sensor's notification trigger settings.
