Limitation of access to sections for external customers

We are currently running a trial of PRTG and everything is going well so far

One of our requirements for our monitoring solution is that we must be able to provide access to external customers, however this must be extremely limited to certain devices, sensors and values

I have set up a test "customer" account and have limited access to a particular sensor, and produced a dedicated map for the customer that just shows the relevant information. What I would like to is limit access to all other areas of PRTG, ie, removing the ability to click and see the devices, libraries, sensors, alarms, reports, logs and todos tabs at the top of the screen etc. The removal of access to logs being the most critical as all we wish to provide to the customer is the data from the sensors, not a record of when changes to their accounts are made etc

Is there any way of reducing access like this, or alternatively providing a very different customer portal?

Hi,

this is possible by giving the user group(s) your read-only users are in no access rights in the device tree. This can be done with the Access Right 'None' on the device, group, probe, or root group that you don't want to be seen by the users: right-click on the object -> Edit -> Access Rights... or in the Settings tab in section Access Rights of any object.

The users will not be able to see any logs, ToDos, etc. regarding these objects anymore.

Best regards.
