Monitoring Switch interfaces

hello folks,

All i want is to monitor my switch interfaces status ( up/down ) & as soon as the interfaces goes down , prtg should communicate to me via email.

i want to achieve this via snmp configuration of my switch snmp-server community RO snmp-server enable traps snmp authentication linkdown linkup coldstart warmstart snmp-server enable traps cpu threshold snmp-server host * informs version 2c * snmp-server host * version 2c *

please help!

Are you trying to monitor this using the Trap Receiver sensor? If so, please notice the same is limited to SNMP v1 and, as such, SNMP v2c traps will not work.
