Does PRTG support bandwidth detection??

Does PRTG support bandwidth detection? For example, 10/100/1000port on ethernet switch, 128k, 512k, 1024k on WAN Router. I want to show traffic utilization related to bandwidth in terms of percent on router as well as make a monthly report representing average usage for link provisioning.

Thx

Dear Chris,

in the moment PRTG only detects the interface type when adding a SNMP Traffic Sensor (and displays the information there). If you want to show the usage of the interfaces in percent you would have to use the Sensor Factory and do it manually in the moment. We have this on the list to implement an automatism into the traffic sensors, but it is not yet decided when exactly this will be implemented and released. Please bear with us.

Best Regards.

Hallo,

this is possible for traffic sensors in PRTG9

Go to the channel tab of a sensor, select the channel in question, then select

Data -> Display in percent of maximum

this setting can be changed for several sensors at the same time using multi edit for channels as well.
