PRTG Cluster to keep/migrate Slave node configuration Changes

Votes:

I have a simple setup with two nodes PRTG cluster. When the Master nodes goes down, the slave would happily take over. Any changes made to the Slave (when it is Acting as the current Master) is lost when the Master node is up again. According to Cluster Failover Issues this is intended. But is there is anyway to copy these changes to the master? (these changes are mainly adding new sensors, devices & modifying them). The steps outlined in PRTG Migration Steps require shutting down both probes & I'm not sure if will work to do what I need.

I'm afraid there is no optoion to copy the configuration data to the cluster master if changes where made on the failover. Your only option would be, if you want to keep the changes, to make the failover node the new master. Please see this article for instructions: https://kb.paessler.com/knowledgebase/en/topic/34853-prtg-cluster:-how-do-i-convert-a-temporary-failover-master-node-to-be-the-primary-master-node
