Reporting - extracting exact information

Hi,

I'm looking to create a very specific report for our clients - the exact way we want this to work is as follows.

1 Select only certain devices from one client (this works fine)

2 Check information on specific sensors for the last month (this works fine)

3 generate a report based on the top sensors (highest CPU, highest interface utilization, lowest memory free & lowest disk space free) Then combine that information with the graph for the last month.

4 group sensors based on type

5 Deliver report via email (this works fine)

From these 5 steps step 3 and 4 don't seem to be possible with PRTG, is this true? Hope I'm being clear.

Hello,

thank you very much for your KB-Post. It should be possible to achieve 3 & 4, but only with separate reports that filter for different tags, and so different sensor types. The Reports should then of course use the "Top ...."-Templates.

best regards.

Hi Torsten,

Thank you for the reply. Thats a shame as we would really like to have the ability to customize the reports a bit further.

Another question - Is it possible to create custom template structures? I couldn't see an option for this as they seem to be predefined. I commend how simplistic your software is but sometimes it's nice to have a little more flexibility.

Regards
