I'm seeing this Alert. The status is DOWN. The server is online and doesn't appear to be having any problems. Any idea what this alert means?

Thank you

Hi,
any chance that the machine is moving between different ESX hosts? If so, please try adding the Virtual Machine Sensor to your vCenter instead of a single ESX host. When monitoring the ESX host PRTG cannot keep track of the machine when the same is moved.
Best regards

Hi,

That's essentially what happened. I migrated the VM to a different data store and got that Alert when I brought the server back online. I deleted the sensor. I'll try to do as you suggested and add a Sensor to the vCenter server.

Thank you, RN
