Monitoring Cisco XPS-2200

I need to monitor a Cisco XPS-2200 power system, is there anyway I can do this with PRTG? Can it be monitored through the switches that it is powering? It is used for redundant power for a stack of Cisco 3750x switches.

Hello,

thank you very much for the KB-Post. According to the Product Page for the xPS-2200, it seems to be possible to get SNMP information from it, via the connected switch:

SNMP network management

You can manage switches from a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)-compatible management station that is running platforms such as HP OpenView or SunNet Manager. The switch supports a comprehensive set of Management Information Base (MIB) extensions and four Remote Monitoring (RMON) groups. See the switch software configuration guide on Cisco.com and the documentation that came with your SNMP application for more information.

But it's not clear what that may contain. Please consult with Cisco for the "necessary" MIBs, and then import them with our MIB-Importer.

best regards.
