Service Notification

We would like to be able to describe a service that is composed of different device/sensors and be able to notify when one or many devices change status but only get one notification. I have looked at dependencies but we do not like how it pauses the dependent sensors. We have also looked at summarization but our intention is to use the notification executable to make an api call to our notification service and in this case there is no summarization. It does not seem like PRTG allows for this type of configuration. I am interested to know how other organizations might setup PRTG to provide notification on services.

Hi,
for this purpose you might have a look at the Sensor Factory Sensor (hope this was not meant by summarization). You are able to aggregate several sensors into one and you are also able to define own down conditions.
You can additional use channel limits to define own error and warning limits and trigger notifications based on them.
Best regards

I took a look and tested a factory sensor and it does what I need it to. Thank you very much!
