Bandwidth checking

Sorry that I am asking this kind of question again as we are confused with the figures we got from different tools.

Our aim is to let the user have a smooth Lync Video sessions through Citrix VDI. One of the issue is the bandwidth requirement.

We would like to obtain the actual bandwidth usage through PRTG. So, we use PRTG to monitor the Sonicwall firewall for the Internet Port Bandwidth usage.

The user is using VDI through LAN.

After running a Lync video session, we got the following Bandwidth usage figure: From PRTG (Firewall Port): 868 kbit/s From Liquidware UX (monitor the Network Avg): 1899 kbit/s From vCenter (monitor the performance of the VDI Network): 1,915 kbit/s

We are so confused that why the figure obtain from PRTG is different from the others? Is that something we got wrong on this checking?

Please kindly help

We have occasionally seen the SNMP values from Sonicwall devices not match what they should be so could you please try running a test with the SNMP tester while this video activity is happening and compare to the other two sources? It may be that the Sonicwall is just reporting back incorrect information.
