Starting the Enterprise Console: Check for Interfering Windows Programs
Important notice: The Enterprise Console (EC) is unsupported and deprecated as of PRTG 19.4.53. As of PRTG 19.4.54, the EC installer is removed from PRTG.
We strongly recommend that you switch to PRTG MultiBoard, our new alternative interface that you can use to connect to multiple PRTG servers to manage your entire network.
For information on how to uninstall the EC, see How to uninstall the PRTG Enterprise Console from the PRTG Server.
If you cannot work with PRTG’s Enterprise Console because the main window disappears a few seconds after the start, perhaps other Windows programs interfere with the EC. We recommend you to check applications that are running on the system with PRTG’s console, disable suspicious ones regarding this issue as a test, and then try to start the EC.
For example, we detected that the application Actual Multiple Monitors 5.5.1 can be the cause for this issue and prevents PRTG’s Enterprise Console from starting. Please disable this software in order to run the EC. As an alternative to this program, you can use, for example, Display Fusion which has no negative influences on the EC.
You can also try starting the EC in safe mode with networking because that will disable everything but the necessary drivers for Windows, including startup programs.
