How can i tell the PRTG service to use more resources on a server?

Votes:

My question came up after having to go a manually start the PRTG service after a server restart. Our Production instance does not appear to be high on resources in the server, I also noticed the same behavior after the last couple of updates to the PRTG. Can more resources be assigned to this particular service directly from the server? and how?

Thanks in advance.

It may be that you can just change the service to a start-up delay since the PRTG service requires a lot of other services to start first. More info can be found here

Would you also recommend to set up the option to restart the service after a failure, like it shows under Recovery tab for the service properties? Do you think that might help as well?

This should happen automatically when one of the services fails due to overload and if the service fails for other reasons it may be prudent to check the server before automatically reloading that service.
