HTTP advance sensor error cannot access "result of sensor#".txt

HTTP advance sensor settings: Request method > POST (logging into a website) Check for existing key words (positive) Store latest HTML result Scanning interval 120 seconds

Several of the probes will every once in a while show error: Cannot create file "C:\ProgramData\Paessler\PRTG Network Monitor\Logs (Sensors)\Result of Sensor 2021.txt". The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process

Does this error affect monitoring? or just storing the results?

Hello,

thank you very much for this KB-Post. This "error message" only is an issue with writing the sensor log. It shouldn't have any impact on the monitoring. We actually do recommend to only enable the sensor log ("Write Result to Disk"-Option) in debugging cases, and not have it set all the time.

best regards.
