Auto-Discovery Timing

Votes:

1. Does the 'Specific Hour' for Auto-discovery relate to time on the core server or the local time of a remote probe?

2. How can you setup Auto-discovery to run daily or weekly, but ensure it doesn't create sensors which run too often, e.g. every 30 seconds? Failing that, how can you list sensors by their scanning interval?

The specific hour for the Auto-Discovery will be initiated for the remote probe when it is that time on the remote system. For example if you have the Auto-Discovery set to 21:00 and it's 18:00 on the core but 21:00 on the Remote Probe, the Auto-Discovery will start then.

The only way to have the Auto-Discovery create sensors with a specific scanning interval would be to create a device template that the sensors would be created from and set up the template with the scanning intervals that you like.

To sort sensors and see the scanning intervals, you can click on Sensor->Cross Reference and select the group you want to see. There you will see the scanning intervals and can sort accordingly.
