Using PRTG to check emails in exchange

hello , i would like to monitor the delivery of emails in to a speific inbox in my exchange 2010 server.

I am having trouble trying to get the PRTG to connect into the mailbox.

FIrst off , what is the best sensor to do this with ?

Hello,

thank you very much for your KB-Post. You could try the Pop3 Email Count Sensor. This will count the emails in the inbox.

Thanks - but not to be awkward , but POP? I'm only running SMTP on my exchange servers. Can I not use that to monitor an email box?

SMTP will only send mails. From your initial description it seemed there is an inbox on your Exchange Server, that shall be monitored. If so, it has to be either IMAP or Pop3. For IMAP you could then look into the according IMAP Sensor.
