I have installed a Windows 2012 R2 server however i cannot monitor this server using WMI. Windows 2012 and Windows 2008 R2 goes fine. No firewall is active so that cannot be the problem.

If you run the command wmic at the command line are you able to access the WMI service then?

Have you checked that the DCOM and RPC services are running?

Which error are you getting exactly from the sensors when you try to set them up for this server?

Ok i think i found a solution. I used the hostname before the username so: hostname\username and the password, than it works.
