Custom Device Templates - XML Info

Hello, is there any documentation on the structure, parameters, and general syntax of custom device template files (PRTG Network Monitor\devicetemplates)? I am interested in creating custom device templates to use in my auto-discovery groups and would like this information to know how granular I can get with these templates.

We don't have any official documentation on the XML formatting of the device templates, the best way to find out what we use in the templates is to take a look at the other templates that we have and base it on that or to create new templates and look over the code that is used.

Specifically I am looking for all of the possible parameters on <check> and <create> tags. Is there any way I can get a list of all possible parameters? I have a feeling that the example templates may not include all possible parameters for reference.

This is internal information currently. We are constantly working on these parameters and thus we rather not document this information since it may change with every new version. Once this part of the software has stabilized we may share it in the API documentation.
