Automatic Hyperlinks in Email Notifications

Votes:

0

Hi,

I'm trying to customise our email notification using HTML, and I've encountered a problem with PRTG creating automatic hyperlinks. Whenever the "%device" or "%sensor" variables are added, the email contains a link to the device/sensor.

Our notifications send out to a 3rd party, and we are not allowed to send internal IP information.

If there a known way to either stop the link being created, or another known variable that will show the server name in an email?

Many Thanks, David.

If you add these variables to the subject, they will not have a link but anytime you use these placeholders in the message, they will be replaced with the hyperlink. I'll ask if this might be able to be changed in the future.

I opened a ticket with the development team after our discussion today and we will be implementing this into PRTG. Once this is done, I will post here.
