Adding additional (physical) CPU to PRTG core server

Hi,

If I'm going to add CPU to my PRTG core server (also probe is running on it) what steps should I make that the PRTG will recognise that newly added CPU? If any? I'm concerned that the local probes will not automatically identify the added CPU?

Hi,
as far as we know and we have tested this, there should be no issues when adding one more CPU to the machine PRTG is running on. Please only make sure to stop the services manually before shutting the machine down to add the CPU. Afterwards boot it again and only when it has booted completely, start the PRTG Services again.
As with every major change please do a backup of all your data before adding the CPU. Best regards
