AD Replication Errors Sensor - "-d=doman name" Error

Votes:

Hello.

When setting-up the "Active Directory Replication Errors" Sensor, I receive a "-d=domain name" parameter error.

The Username used under "Credentials for Windows Systems" is a member of the Domain Admins Group.

Can you please advise as to what troubleshooting steps I can take to correct this issue?

Thank you.

Hello,

thank you very much for your KB-Post. May I ask, which exact version of PRTG are you running?

best regards.

Okay, thank you. Just to check, the sensor targets a domain controller? If so, could you maybe send us some screenshots, showing the settings of the sensor and the parent device? Please send them via email to [email protected].

Hi,

Did you find a solution? We're having the same problem. Active Directory Replication Errors sensor is giving the message "Parameter error, -d=domain name ".

Here's some more info:

-the user specified in the probe settings is a member of domain admins

-.NET framework is installed on the probe

-the other sensors in the same device are working normally: Service: Active Directory Domain Services, LDAP Login, DNS lookup

We are using PRTG Network Monitor 14.1.8.1371 x64

Thanks!

Hello, can you please upload a screenshot, that shows the "Windows Credentials" entered in the parent device (to this sensor)?
