Can't see disk status in VMware Host server (SOAP)

Votes:

Hi All, Hoping someone can help - we want to monitor for failed disks on our HP esxi devices, in Vsphere under health status > storage was can see the disks status, however the SOAP host hardware sensor only returns the temperature details. Is there some way to get the disk details?

I've also tried the WBEM sensor, but also cannot see anything for the disks, only temperature etc.

Thanks!

The disk status of an ESXi host isn't something that is available through the SOAP or WBEM sensors since their API doesn't allow for this to be queried. You can use the SSH disk sensor to see the free space of the storage connected to the ESX hosts but the status like you are looking for isn't available. It may be possible to get this from the device if you have an ILO card or iDRAC card installed that is handling the RAID configuration but you would need to check the MIB for that device and see what is available.
