Notify if a certain value is repeatable above a threshold

We are using the PING sensor to check the availability of certain VPN-connected hosts. Sometimes, the VPN gateway does have a strange bug where every 10 minutes the traffic gets dropped for 30-50sec. Using PRTG we are able to "see" this traffic loss resulting in 10-20% of packetloss every 10 minutes.

So, my question is - how can I notify on that?

In English I would describe the notification rule as following: "If the average packetloss in the last 30 minutes is > 1% then send email to admins" or "If there are 3 occurances of packetloss > 10% in the last 30 minutes then send email to admins"

Any idea how I can create such a notification?

Thanks, Tom

Hello,

thank you very much for your KB-Post. I'm afraid this is not possible out-of-the-box with PRTG, but please have a look if the following third party tool is a suitable workaround: Notifications on the last 1 hour average

best regards.
