How to move devices and sensors to remote probe from local probe?

Votes:

0

Hello,

I searched here, but was not able to find how to do this. The PRTG manual does not talk about this neither.

I have almost 7000 sensors in my installation and I would like to create a remote probe on another VM and move some of the devices from Local Probe to the Remote probe.

Can I just simply move the folder of PRTG main system to another VM and then convert the newly system to remote probe?

Thank you.

Hello,

thank you very much for your KB-Post. To install a Remote Probe on a new machine, please simply follow the PRTG Manual on this.
To move devices then from the Local to the new Remote Probe, you can use Drag & Drop on the Management-Tab in the PRTG AJAX Webinterface.

best regards.
