Custom sensor: channels do not add up

Votes:

0

Hello, I tried to add up custom sensor working with OID, using a combined sensor. I currently have for example 2 sensors showing how many pages have been printed since the manufacture date of the printer. Using a custom OID, this works fine.

However, when I try to add those numbers it says "no data".

I assume this is due to the fact that PRTG tries to add strings instead of adding numbers... How can I cast them ? Or change the type of the sensor ?

Thanks,

Theo

Hello,

thank you very much for your KB-Post. Can you please provide some details about the source sensors? It seems these are SNMP String Sensors? Adding the results will be tricky then, but may be possible, with extracting the numbers from the String Results.

best regards.
