How can I get notified when an interface has input/output errors?

Votes:

0

I cannot seem to figure out to to make PRTG notify me when a interface encounters errors. I have ticked to monitor the additional channel "Errors In & Out".

I'd like PRTG to notify me if either of the "Errors per second" is ever higher than one. Is this possible?

Best regards Jesper

You could modify the "Errors out" channel settings of the sensor to have limits like this:

Upper Warning Limit: 0

Upper Error Limit: 5

This way, as soon as there is one error in traffic, the whole sensor will switch to warning.

Then set the notifications for warning and error states as normal :) Hope that helped?
