Organizing devices

Looking for guidance on how to organize devices, sensors, channels, notifications etc.

Our requirements: > Over 1000 devices > Each device will have several sensors > Depending on sensor there are specific channel limits > Each sensor can have a different notification

Example: Device - Server A Sensor - Disk Free Channel - Free Space Lower error limit 25%

We are trying to design in a way that it is easy to see what devices are in what priority, the limit etc. Has anyone had these requirements and how did you design the devices structure.

Hello,

thank you very much for your KB-Post. Maybe you can use Libraries to help here. They allow to have all sensors of a certain type (or Tag if you will) within one Library. And so you could easily set one notification to all sensors that meet certain criteria.

best regards.
