Recommended Memory Limits for Exchange Servers

Votes:

Hi

We are trying to tidy up our PRTG Warning/Error limits and one of the sensors consistently warning or erroring are servers with Exchange installed.

I know Exchange "grabs" a lot of memory it is not necessarily using, and so PRTG alerts as low memory when in fact the server is running fine.

What % do you recommend for warning and error for Exchange servers?

exchange limits memory

Hello,

I'm afraid we do not really have exact recommendations for this. Maybe other users can share their Limit settings on Memory Sensors.

best regards.

Hello kazz,

Warning and also Error limits can be defined for each single sensor channel. Please open the settings of the corresponding channel and make sure to enable the "Enable alerting based on limits" option.
Afterwards, you can define an upper or lower warning and error limit and also adjust a custom message that is been shown.

Further information on limits can be found here.

Best,
Sebastian
