Can I change the "unknown" status to "Paused"

Votes:

Hi Support,

There are cases we need to pause the sensor for some reason. But when we generate the report, it says "UNKNOWN" for the period we paused. If the sensor is paused, it should clearly tell in the report, this is being paused. Is there anyway option that we can customize in such a way?

thanks

paused sensor-status unknown

Hello,

thank you very much for your KB-Post. I'm sorry, this can't be changed. For a paused sensor, PRTG does not write historic data into the Monitoring Database. When then later on, a report is generated for this sensor over the same period, PRTG just finds the gap (due to the pause) in the historic data, but it cannot determine the reason for the pause, so the exact state is unknown for the report. Sorry.

best regards.
