Change WMI target

Votes:

Hello,

I use WMI to monitor a service called "zdb-server". After an update of this 3rd party software PRTG reports "Service not found (code: PE010)".

When I create a NEW sensor to this service it's working fine. Only the "old" sensor does not work anymore.

Old and new sensor in PRTG and the service in Windows itself look the same for me. I cannot find any difference.

Can I change the "target" in PRTG to prevent loosing the history? (Instead of using paused sensor for the old and active sensor for the new target)

history prtg service target windows wmi

This isn't possible to change due to how these sensors are initially set up in PRTG. Pausing will be the only way to keep that history.
