Split tasks core server

Votes:

0

Hello,

Is it possible within the installation of PRTG to split the active tasks from the core server? Right now the core installation has been the place for one probe, web services, enterprise console, report building, sending alerts, logged in users through API/app and the place where all the monitoring information is stored. That are a lot of tasks to run on one system when there are 10.000 + sensors in a big environment.

Hope to see your answers...

Thanks.

Peter

Dear Wizzbit

The core service itself cannot be split. But you can install remote probes to run some, or all sensors on a remote computer instead of the core servers.

Please find more information about the remote probe here: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/install_a_prtg_remote_probe

PRTG offers a speed mode for the webserver: https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/16923 This mode will hide some graphs and relax the graph update intervals, but provide a noticeable speed-up for the webserver.
