As you can see in next picture, i have two host with some standard probes (CPU, Memory, Disk, all windows all WMI), and their probes are 5 minutes in error, and 5 minutes are ok. All servers are on same switch, so it is not network issue. PRTG is version 13.2.3.1927.

Link how it looks (all sensors are the same) is: http://www.sistemi.hr/files/prtg-error1.JPG

Can you please help?

Thx in advance!

Hello,

Which exact errors do you then get? Could you please upload some screenshots showing the exact error messages on the sensors (from the "Overview"-Tab)? If the sensors are not in error-state right now, you can also check the "Log"-Tab of the sensor, to view previous error-messages.

best regards.

Here is screenshot of Log tab, there you can see error and how it is changing from online to error state. Note that nothing is done during this time, so i'm not restarting probe or doing anything else with this host.

Are all or most of the "WMI errors" referring to issues with reading "Performance Counters"? If so, please try if any of the tips in our "Performance Counter Troubleshooting Guide" in our KB do help.

Also, please do not hesitate to add any comments to this article, should you find anything helpful for you as well, that's not yet mentioned!
