Device Alias

Is it possible to create a device alias or a shortcut to a device in another part of the organisational structure?

For example our IP addressing schema isn't particularly logical and we have devices with differing function living in the same class C networks, I'd like to create auto discovery groups and then link the devices found into a logicaly organised structure whilst maintaining the auto discover group.

Thanks for any input / suggestions.

Dear David

Since the PRTG object hierarchy is fixed, please use libraries for custom views: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/libraries.htm

Objects can be put into a library manually, or by tags (see the settings for libraries.)
