NTP Sensor

Hi @all,

I have a question about the sntp sensor. I want to know how it works.

In my understanding our main Domaincontroller which is getting the time from an external NTP server would be the right one for that sensor. Is the sensor checking the time of the NTP server and compare it with the time of the domaincontroller?

All other clients & servers get the time from the main domaincontroller.

Is the sensor using a standard ntp server or takes it the ntp server of our DC?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Best Regards Guenter Baumann

Hello,

thank you for using PRTG. The SNTP-Sensor compares the time it gets from the target with the local time on the Probe Host.

best regards.
