Unusual detection for certain sensors only

Is it possible to turn off unusual detection and just turn it on for certain sensors again? I'd take unusual detection as a useful feature for e.g. network interfaces and the like, but having unusual detection on sensors that use sensor execution time as a metric is rather pointless. Moreover, we've a couple of sensors monitoring more or less randomly used resources, so "Unusual" would rather be the normal state there.

Hello,

You can turn off the unusual detection on the root level of your PRTG device tree. Click on the root group | settings | automatic monitoring data analysis and disable the unusual detection. This setting will be inherited by all devices by default. Now you can enable the unusual detection for each device / sensor of your interest in the sensor settings.

Hi,

thank for the hint. I've disabled unusual detection at the device tree root. However, I haven't found how to re-enable it on sensor level as the "automatic monitoring data analysis" section is missing in the settings.

Hi,

You're right, at the moment the unusual detection can just be enabled on device level. Nevertheless I'll count your wish to our feature request list for future versions of PRTG.

We would like to see this feature (unusual detection at the sensor level instead of the device level). We have certain critical sensors that would be important, but don't want the noise that would be generated at the device level. We have a large environment (10K plus sensors across 24 PRTG servers) and need to be selective about what we enable or we can get overwhelmed with data.
