How to monitor other brands of NAS

Please help me to monitor my OPEN-E NAS? I saw some sensosr related to NAS but it indicates a specific NAS brand like synology. How about other NAS?

Hey danpaolosoriano,

if you don't find the right sensor, it is possible to monitor your NAS with SNMP. For this you can use the Paessler SNMP-Tester ( https://www.paessler.com/tools/snmptester ) to check witch Values you will get. With a run on "lower" oid's you can see a lot of values. Maybe it is possible to get a SNMP MIB (Management Information Base) library. In some web interfaces you can find them next to the SNMP options.

If you got one, you can convert it with the Paessler MIB importer ( https://www.paessler.com/tools/mibimporter ).

If for anyone the "other brands of NAS" would be a FRITZ!Box, SNMP is not an option.

There however is a sensor available at http://prtgtoolsfamily.com/?page=downloads_sensorsxml to monitor your FRITZ!NAS (and another one to monitor the energy readings of your FRITZ!Box)
