Best HDD sensors for workstation

Hello,

We have around 100 workstations within our company, and we would like to see if the hard disks are still working without any problems. or see when the disk is about to fail.

the sensor we are using at the moment is the "WMI SMART" sensor, but that is an IDE sensor and we are using SATA disks. sometimes the IDE sensors gives "Connection could not be established" error. so i think we need another option to check the HDD.

If any of you have a good suggestion too check HDD health, without useing the WMI SMART sensor, since that is IDE. i would love too hear from you !

Have you tryed to configure the SNMP on the workstations? It should work and it will be more efficient. Regards Carlos
