Authenticating to PRTG via bookmark

Hello all

We have a PC connected to a large screen here that cycles through maps pages. I have created a bookmark with the maps I would like to display but when the bookmark is used for the first time I am redirected to a login prompt. Once I click the default logon button the bookmark works.

Is there a way to provide the username/password via the URL such as http://user:pass@prtg:8081? I've tried that combination and it doesn't work. If we could do this we could have the bookmark auto start when the PC is rebooted and it avoids all user interaction with the PC.

Hi,

You can either grant public access in the settings of the respective map (Allow public access (click on the GetHTML tab to see the URL)) or add the parameter username and passwordpasshash to the URL. e.g.

https://YourPRTGServer/map.htm?id=2228&tabid=3&username=prtgadmin&password=prtgadmin

Best regards
