PRTG Android probe-alert on power loss

Votes:

0

Not so much a problem, more a feature request. I want to use old Android phones in remote locations, attached to a backup battery that will constantly trickle feed them. I would like to know if there is a sensor that could be added to show loss of input power (as if it had been disconnected from the back-up battery). Is this possible?

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for the KB-Post. The 'Battery-Sensor' in the Android Probe should actually do this already. Did you check this?

best regards.

Hi there Torsten I have the sensor set up and can see the chart, but I never saw an alarm/alert you can set up where power is removed from the phone itself.

Do you mean to set up an alarm where the phone is at 100%, and if it falls below a certain level (say 90%), the user sets up an alert manually? I could do this but I was wondering if there was something more intuitive?

thanks!

That would actually be the suggested way yes. Please use limits to alarm if the percentage falls below 90% for example.
