Can PRTG monitor 10Gbps link?

Votes:

I had used PRTG to monitor the network using snmp v2 as a trial. And discover that all those link utilised more than 1 Gbps is showing inaccurate figure when compare to rate utilisation in the device though CLI. Those links that utilised below 1Gbps is relatively accurate.

So can PRTG monitor 10Gbps links?

Thanx

bandwidth- prtg snmp

Yes, PRTG can monitor 10Gb interfaces no problem.

Be aware however, that using 32-bit counters (SNMP V1) can lead to incorrect results on speeds above 600mbit. Please refer to:

Most devices that have 10Gb interfaces however, will already implement SNMP V2c or V3. In that case you can use 64-bit counters and then monitoring should be reliable at any rate/speed.
