Setting up SNMP on AIX

Votes:

0

I am attempting to setup SNMP monitoring on an IBM AIX server. I have experience with RHEL and other flavors of Linux, OS X 10.x, Solaris 9 & 10, but never AIX. So far I've got the sensors turned on I believe but PRTG is giving me a couple of errors that I'm unsure how to fix.

SSH Load Average 1: The host's system is unable to process PRTG's command: "". (code: PE096)

SSH Meminfo 1: The host's system is unable to process PRTG's command: "cat /proc/meminfo". (code: PE096)

Any ideas on where I can look to fix this? Is it permissions?

Hello,

sorry, we cannot help with setting up SNMP on AIX, as we do not have such systems in our networks.
You are using SSH based sensors there though (not SNMP based), and the SSH Sensors do not support AIX systems I'm afraid.

best regards.
