Intuitive to Use. Easy to manage.
More than 500,000 users rely on Paessler PRTG every day. Find out how you can
reduce cost, increase QoS and ease planning, as well.
The problem with this is that PRTG, by default, only holds onto the historic data for one year. Unless you have changed this in the PRTG settings, you will only be able to report on data for up to 365 days previous.
Which settings should I change?
I tried to change System Administration - Core Probes - Historic Data Purging
Historic Sensor Data = 730
but it did not help...
That setting is not retroactive unfortunately. You would have had to already had that setting set to more than 365 days for PRTG to have stored that data. Since it was not set, that data is no longer on the PRTG server.
If you want data for more than a year then that is the correct setting to change. Again it will not work to bring back data from earlier, it only changes how long PRTG will store data from now on.
You have seen my previous answer?
I tried to change System Administration - Core Probes - Historic Data Purging Historic Sensor Data = 730 but it did not help!
As stated in my previous 2 answers, changing that value will only allow you to see more than 365 days of historical data in the future! There is currently only 365 days of historical data on your server since PRTG was set to only store 365 days of historical data. Now that you have changed that setting, in 1 year you will have 730 but THIS IS NOT A RETROACTIVE SETTING.
PLEASE, read my previous answer!
I have setting Historic Data Purging Historic Sensor Data = 730 many days ago!
But, i cannot get a Historic Data Report with a start date of more than one year ago!
When exactly did you change it to 730 days then? Please check the "Monitoring Database"-Subfolder of PRTGs Data directory, what is the oldest daily folder in it?
OMG. Why you do not read my previous posts? I cannot get a Historic Data Report with a start date of more than one year ago! For example: how can I get a Historic Data Report with a start date 22.01.2014?
