I have two PRTG server running on Windows 2012 R2 and 2008 R2 and having the same issue. Any idea to avoid or solve the problem?

Hello, this should be fixed with a stable release of version 15.x.14. So when there is a '14' in the third digit of the version number, the fix has reached the stable version. Please bear with us, this should be within a few weeks.

It is well-known problem. I get this recommendation from support: "we can only recommend to disable the popup and use the balloon - information on the tray as work-around."

Or take a look at the TrayNotifier

The TrayNotifier is installed in the system tray, presenting the PRTG icon. When an alarm condition occurs, the icon becomes a flashing red dot.
