Check prefered routes in PRTG

Votes:

0

Hi There,

I need to know wether we can setup a monitor to check on the system to confirm prefered routes are being used whenever possible.

We are advertising routes via OSPF and BGP over 3 networks, A, B and C that are all connected to each other.

Each site will know of 2 routes on how to get from A to B (A to B, or A to B via C)

Is it possible to monitor this and alert when a route is being used?

Thanks, Ayhan

Hi,
this is not possible with native PRTG sensors. You might look into the EXE/Script (Advanced) sensors and try to build a own sensor for this.
Best regards
