We use PRTG for the bulk of our monitoring but when it comes to VMware monitoring we would like it to do more. We currently use Veeam ONE for the VMware side of things as it provides a much deeper integration into vSphere and can monitor for CPU ready issues, memory ballooning and can really dig into datastore metrics such as IOP and latency values.

I've seen simliar questions asked a year or two ago, but I was wondering if there is still a plan for PRTG to dig into this level of vSphere monitoring?

Hi,

We are currently developing multiple VMware sensors which will improve in performance and will be able to monitor more details of your VMware environment. The CPU ready channel will be part of this sensor as well.

If you want to participate in the current alpha test for our new VMware Datastore Sensor, contact us with an email to [email protected] with a reference to this post and we will be more than happy to forward the sensor to you.

Best regards
