Monitoring powerline adapters

Hello,

ist ist possible to monitor deveolo dlan adapters? With the devolo cockpit software I can check the individual transfer rates and the link quality. I know that the powerline adapters don't have an IP adress, but they have a MAC and somehow the cockpit software communicates with the devices. If this is not a proprietary thing, would it be possible to check at least the availabilty of the adapters, similar to a ping?

Greetings, Alex

How about pinging a device at the 'other side' of the adapter.

If you can make shure that your ping travels the deveolo dlan connection, that would give you some indication that the link is up.

Depending on the model, there might be a MIB file available that can be imported with our MIB Importer and the SNMP Library sensors. The Pro versions of the adapters often feature a MIB file and SNMP daemons.
