NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

I have a godaddy wildcard cert and have installed it using the PRTG Certificate Importer Tool. I have also set the web server to use HTTPS. I am now getting an error on the browser "NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID" How can I resolve this?

This message generally pops up when the generated certificate does not match the URL. For example, if the certificate was generated for paessler.com, but the access is generated via another DNS name or even an IP address (i.e. the broswer uses https://5.5.5.5 instead of https://www.paessler.com.
