Hi there. We have devices which we have added using the LAN IP address but would also like t o monitor the devices' external IP addresses to ensure WAN connectivity.

Is it possible to add additional ping monitors for one device monitoring different IP addresses?

Hi,

You can do this using the StatisticalPingXML sensor from http://prtgtoolsfamily.com/downloads/sensorsxml

It pings a comma seperated list of hosts/IP-addreses and returns a value < 0 per channel if the respective host is not reponding. Using limits you can set the sensor to a Warning or Down state.

Thanks! I've downloaded and run the exe but how do I add that sensory to PRTG? It doesn't show up as an available sensor.

Disregard, I copied it to the EXE folder versus the EXEXML folder. Working great, thanks!
