Not All Network Adapters Available

We're monitoring our Windows SOFS and Hyper-V clusters nodes with PRTG. When trying to add Windows Network Card sensors to the devices, only a subset of the network cards are appearing. For example, for one of our SOFS servers, only 1 NIC out of 5 is showing, and on the other SOFS server 2 NICs are showing out of 5. The hardware and OS is identical between the two. Windows Server 2012 R2. Any ideas?

Hello,

With the current version of PRTG it might occur that some network cards are not found during the meta scan of the WMI Network Card sensor. We already fixed this issue in our current canary version, so it will be part of the stable version soon. As I cannot tell you an exact date, we expect this version to be released within the next weeks.

Meanwhile you can use the SNMP Traffic Sensor instead. Please bear with us.

Best regards
